The Mitch Melnick problem at TSN

What is one to do about people like Mitch Melnick, he of socialist and cultural cliches masquerading as a sports radio guy on TSN 690 in Montreal?

His constant too-long musical interludes and left wing American Bernie Sanders style propaganda belie the fact that he is neither a sportsman nor a journalist.

His program is a narcissistic rec room party. "I hate that evil Stephen Harper." "Let's get that Republican governor of Michigan." What they hey? Canadiens are in their worst slump ever (at least since 1940 if you want to argue) and this loser is bullybeating jocks about...?

By the way truth lovers, the mayor and council of Flint MI are all Democrats. Melnick is 'virtue signaling' like all bleeding heart left wing liberals. Looking for a Democrat problem to blame on Republicans. What's his position on Ferguson? Baltimore? Chicago? All Democrat nightmares. Ever mention Obama? Iran? ISIS? Putin? China? Islam? Pinko blinders are amazing.

Is anyone at TSN HQ paying attention to this nonsense?

He reps his shows as some kind of "lifestyle" show when all it is the teary wheezings of a left-liberal high school student.

I felt the veritable Chris Matthews tingle when Knuckles Nilan lost his temper and pounded the table during a Habs Lunch show Friday. Best radio I have heard in many years. Knuckles is real. Passionate. Knows what he's talking about. He's still living it.

Menick is a penthouse socialist whiner.

What to do? Don't listen.

Are you listening TSN HQ?

Remembering Jack Soo

The passing of Abe Vigoda today reminds me of Jack Soo (Goro Suzuki) and this Reaganesque plum:

Soo died of cancer on January 11, 1979 at the height of his popularity. His death shocked Soo’s friends and cast members of the show Barney Miller, which was in its fifth season, and the entire cast stepped out of character in a tribute to Jack in an episode that aired in May of 1979. It was said that his last words to his co-star Hal Linden, who played Barney Miller in the series, as Soo was being wheeled into the operating room before his death were "It must have been the coffee,” referencing a running joke by his character from Barney Miller of having the reputation for making horrible coffee. At the end of the tribute, Soo’s cast members raised their coffee cups in a final toast to his memory.

ISIS greatest threat: Trudeau runs away

http://www.torontosun.com/2016/01/19/isis-is-the-greatest-threat-but-canada-bows-out

Monday 18 January 2016

What if tomorrow never comes?

Oh so tired of the lament 'patience, we're on the right track' from Canadiens owners and managements since 1979.

Pollock and Dryden retired. Poof. Canadiens were no more. No more dynasty. No more cups (I know, Patrick stole two in 1986 and 1993) no more superstars and no more French Canadian Firewagon Hockey.

Future future future. 37 years of "just wait."

What about today?

The future is now. Stop copping out. Give us a big fast winning team that is an entertaining contender.

Now.

Montreal Gazette shills for limp Trudeau

Trudeau issued a statement strongly condemning the attack that began late Friday and ended Saturday.

“On behalf of all Canadians, we offer our deepest condolences to the families, friends and colleagues of all those killed and a speedy recovery to all those injured. We are deeply saddened by these senseless acts of violence on innocent civilians,” he said.
