Canadiens' weakness

Canadiens' problems go back a decade or more.

Cast your minds back to 2010, six years ago, the miracle of 2010. Jaro Halak beating Ovechkin and his Capitals then Syd and his Penguins. Two best players, two best teams in the league.

Then Philadelphia.

Poof.

What happened?

Fear.

Too small too nice.

No character.

No leaders other than a great goalie.

Poof.

Put Scott and Prust in the dressing or heaven forbid on the ice and things would instantly change.

Courage.

Character.

But no...

Too late. Draft pick here we come.

Jaroslav Halak makes sense for Canadiens

Just sayin'.

2.14 GAA .923 sv pct.

Price has had knee injuries three out of the last four years.

Why not return to what worked. Halak 30 games or as required. Price 50-60 games.

A 60/40 or 70/30 split. Makes too much sense. Didn't it work in the old days with Rogie and Gump? Gumper and Hodge? Jaro And Price? Why not protect your prize asset for the playoffs?

Entering the extra season with a baked or injury prone/injured Price makes no sense at all.

And who's to say Jaro couldn't reproduce 2010?

Because it's not working now. And hasn't worked since 2010.
